As your home garden consultant, I will guide you through growing organic garden crops through all four seasons. We will experience the beauty of sowing a seed, and with a little love and care, watch it grow into a bountiful harvest. I call this project "the Regenerative Home Garden" because gardening is something that can offer us more than just food to eat. It offers a beauty and reciprocity that deepens our relationship with the earth and, hopefully, ourselves. When gardening is done regeneratively, we are nourishing the soil, the microbes, insects, and the animals that come in contact with it—in hopes to not only offer safety and healing for what is here now, but also for what is to come.

What is a "kitchen garden"?

To me, a kitchen garden is a garden that has your grocery store staples: culinary herbs, your favorite easy to grow vegetables, fruit, and maybe even some flowers! My hope is that the garden we create together allows you to walk a few steps outside your door to your own personal "farmers market" to grab some of those delicious, home grown ingredients you need for your recipe.

Beginner Kitchen Garden Consulting

If you're ready to create an organic kitchen garden but would like some guidance throughout the process, this is the offering for you! Perfect for any type of beginner garden: containers or in-ground. This package includes the following:

- An initial 45minute in-home consultation to develop a plan: garden placement and determining what crops to grow

- Digital garden design & plan layout

- Advice on container selection or building materials

- Garden setup session (Preparing containers and/or in ground plot by filling with soil, adding compost, etc.)

- Planting crops together and labeling for easy remembering!

- Soil health and compost education

- Watering schedule education

- Companion planting 101

- Organic pest management education

- Harvesting and storage suggestions

- Four 30 minute in-home garden check-ins for maintenance and answering questions within 3 months of garden setup.

- Continued email support throughout duration of the contract

- Delivering plant starts and/or seeds and compost

- Harvest preservation recipe education

Garden Education Consult

For those who have started a garden but would like a little extra support and education: this includes a 30-minute in-person session so I can see firsthand what magic is growing in your garden. From there, you will receive a detailed email with suggestions for keeping things growing strong.

Consult price: $50 within Modesto, $55 outside city limits
